The NCSEM, the ISEH and the Eastman Dental Institute’s Centre for Oral Health and Performance will be hosting a ground breaking, one-day symposium in sport and exercise medicine and oral health this July.
Expert speakers will explore the following areas and discuss how to maximise performance and minimise negative performance impacts:
- State-of-the-art developments and the future of sport nutrition (Mike Naylor and Professor Ron Maughan)
- Sport nutrition and health (Dr Dan Kings)
- Eating disorders and Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S) in athletes (Dr Anna Katarina Melin)
- Oral health and sport performance (Professor Ian Needleman, Dr Paul Ashley and Dr Julie Gallagher)
The symposium will be highly relevant to sport and exercise medicine clinicians and scientists, nutritionists, performance directors, dental care professionals and researchers.
