Workshop: Coaching in Disability Sport

The Peter Harrison Centre for Disability Sport is hosting an event on coaching in disability sport at the NCSEM-EM this June.

Developed using research conducted by Dr Robert Townsend and Professor Chris Cushion, the InCoach workshop is a free clinic for coaches working at all levels of disability sport, from community through to disability performance pathways.

In a field where many coaches are not trained in the specifics of coaching disabled athletes, this lack of professional training and knowledge can act as a significant barrier to inclusion. This workshop aims to inform coaches about the key considerations of coaching in disability sport, introduce evidence-based resources to help develop your coaching and provide an opportunity to share ideas and experiences.

This workshop is for coaches who want to enhance their knowledge and skills, share experiences and challenge their understandings of coaching in disability sport.
