Last week marked World Heart Day 2022, a day for us all to stop and consider how we can best use our hearts to improve the lives of not only ourselves, but others too. Parkrun are marking the occasion by discussing how you can show your heart some love through getting active.
The importance of maintaining good heart health is self-explanatory. With the benefits including everything from easier breathing during everyday tasks, all the way through to prevention of disease, it’s clear why looking after your heart is important.
In most cases, all that’s needed is small steps taken everyday to maintain a healthy heart. Eating nutritiously dense foods, staying active, and avoiding excess stress are just some examples of small steps you can take that will have positive effects for your heart.
