The National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine and the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine have decided to postpone our 2020 conference. We want to help protect frontline medical services by making sure that our delegates remain free to provide care should the situation with coronavirus escalate in the coming weeks.
Rather than reschedule this year, we have decided to host the event on 29th April 2021.
The second joint conference between the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine and the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine will be taking place at the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre, Sheffield Hallam University.
The conference From Science to Services will investigate how cutting-edge sport, exercise and physical activity research is driving improvements in healthcare.
The conference will cover a number of themes including:
- physical activity in pregnancy
- prehabilitation and rehabilitation
- physical activity and serious mental health
- health inequalities due to physical inactivity.
It will include keynote presentations from Professor Sandy Jack from the University of Southampton and Sir Muir Gray from the University of Oxford.
