Healthy adults aged between 50 and 60 years are being sought for a research study by Loughborough University. Researchers are seeking men and postmenopausal women who are non-smokers, with no known cardiovascular disease, diabetes, high blood pressure or other chronic diseases, who take no medications.
The study will look at how a short session of walking affects blood vessels, or whether nutrient intake can be of benefit to your cardiovascular health.
Participants will have three visits to the NCSEM-EM over a two-month period and measurements taken will include blood samples, blood pressure, resting ECG, a 10-year cardiovascular disease risk score, and non-invasive measurements looking at the structure and function of your blood vessels.
