Dr Jan van der Scheer, Research Associate and Translational Scientist at Loughborough University, has been working on a knowledge translation project to develop physical activity guidelines for adults with a spinal cord injury.
In this webinar, Jan will use the context of spinal cord injury to look at the overarching process of knowledge translation. He will talk about the application of the Appraisal of Guidelines Research and Evaluation (AGREE-II) process – the internationally accepted gold standard for developing and reporting clinical practice guidelines – and expand on the international consensus panels that have taken place as part of the process.
Jan’s systematic review has recently been accepted for publication in Neurology and he is now at the point where the guidelines are undergoing a patient and public engagement process before their widespread dissemination.
The webinar will take place on Tuesday 6 June, 11-12pm – you will be able to access the webinar here.
