Dr Steve Faulkner and colleagues in the Loughborough-Leicester Diet, Lifestyle and Physical Activity Biomedical Research Unit (BRU) believe a hot bath may hold the key to weight loss and glucose control, lowering your risk of Type 2 Diabetes.
An initial pilot study has provided some promising results and researchers are now calling on local residents to help put the theory to the test.
The research team is looking for healthy, non-smoking males aged 18 to 45 with a BMI of 18-35 to take part in the study. Participants will need to visit the University for testing on eight occasions. Some of the visits will include varying intensities of physical activity.
All participants will receive a comprehensive health check.
